William Whitlow, Jr.
William Whitlow Jr., has been working in non-profit and education for over 11 years. Growing up
in Baltimore, MD, some of his background includes serving as a teacher in the New York City
public school system, he was also a Donor Specialist at The North Texas Food Bank. William
served as Outreach and Programs coordinator for the youth development organization, The All
Stars Project. Most recently he worked as a Volunteer Manager at Genesis Women’s Shelter
and Support here in Dallas.
William’s passion in helping others, especially our youth, has led him to continue his 3rd year in
the position as Director of Grants with an all boys mentoring program called Crowned Scholars.
He credits his struggles and upbringing as a motivation to help others and steer them away from
having a negative outlook on the possibilities in life.
William graduated from State University of New York at Purchase with a degree in History and
Political Science. He has lived in New York City, Washington D.C, and Dallas.In his free time, William enjoys playing with his dog Mufasa and exploring cultural markers in Dallas.
